New Era

You will all have received a formal letter by now advising you that Chris and I have taken over Arden Knowledge Management (AKM). This is an exciting time for both Chris and I and is a challenge that we are both looking forward to.

There are a number of initiatives that we would like to introduce within the company many of which will not affect you and your business directly. However we are focusing more on the standard of service we deliver to you the training and development needs of our team and your overall experience with AKM. In the coming weeks we will be asking for satisfaction surveys to be completed. The results of which we will publish on our website; positive or negative.

Chris and I pride ourselves on being upfront and honest about what we do. This belief is to be extended to all areas of the business to ensure that we remain transparent. We are proud of what we have achieved so far; however believe that by ensuring this honesty is always present we can then deliver a better service. This starts with the controversial move of putting all our pricing and charges on our website for all to see.


New Website Launch

We have recently re-designed our website. Adding more content and making the site easier to navigate.


Customer Referral Scheme

As you are probably aware, businesses benefit most from word of mouth referrals or recommendations. There is no better feeling than learning that a new customer has been referred to us by one of you; as we are obviously doing something right!

In recognition of this we are delighted to introduce our Customer Referral Scheme.

Quite simply refer a new customer to us and depending on what level of Arden assist they subscribe to. You can earn your business either 1 hour or 2 hours of one of our technicians time onsite - to do with as you wish.

The Techie Bit Virus's and Spyware

We all know the effects of Virus's and Spyware but still we are not taking the necessary measures to prevent them.

At AKM we are increasingly receiving pleas of help from customers who are suffering computer troubles due to Virus and Spyware attacks. To fix the problems we often have to wipe the computer and start from scratch hardly cost or time effective!

In most cases the damage can be avoided with the use of good antivirus and anti-spyware software. We recommend the use of the following products;

AVG Professional Antivirus - (http://www.grisoft.com/doc/5/lng/uk/tpl/tpl01) AVG offers basic Antivirus protection for single users.

Sophos Antivirus - (http://www.sophos.com/products/sb/) Sophos is a fully featured small business Antivirus and Mail Security product.

Microsoft AntiSpyware - (http://www.microsoft.com/athome/security/spyware/software/default.mspx) Microsoft are working towards releasing AntiSpyware in the next version of Windows due to be released in 2006 and are currently providing the software and updates free.

You may say "I have antivirus on my computer" but have you recently checked to make sure that it is up to date and covering you for the latest virus's?


New Premises

Our current office lease expires in July. We are in the process of finding new premises in the Ely area. Do you know of anything that offers between 600 and 800 sq ft is easily accessible and is available from July? If so please contact Tammy.
