receive email on the move? Are you too busy to go back to the office to read your email?
There is a wide range of mobile devices available which combine a mobile phone and a PDA. The majority available are based on the Microsoft Mobile operating system which has software built in to download email and communicate via ActiveSync to an Exchange Server 2003 based service.
If you don't have Exchange Server 2003 then you can either subscribe to our Hosted Exchange service or the devices support POP3 and IMAP email services.
If you use either Exchange or Hosted Exchange then the device can also remotely update your Calendar, Contacts and Tasks. So office based staff can update you with new appointments and always know where you are.
Case Study:
Sawston Cleaning have a number of field based cleaning supervisors who needed to be in touch with the office while out. AKM suggested that they combine the technology of Exchange Server 2003 with Pocket PC's to create a completely mobile email solution. The devices are configured to check the server every 5 minutes to look for new updates.
The owners of Sawston Cleaning are now in the process of implementing this service other parts of the business.
